They should change rules on possession. Possession of non-commercial solo pictures featuring 14-18 year olds (= camwhore pics) should not be illegal. Just distribution and commercial exploitation of them.
If a teen girl shows herself naked online, she's a moron, but she's most likely not the victim of abuse. Those who see it have a pretty good chance of not even knowing that she is underage, so prosecuting them is utterly asinine.
If you disagree with this, keep in mind that chances of you unknowingly having come across pictures like that are roughly 100%. Dating ads, "hot camgirl" threads on forums, etc. - they all regularly contain girls under 18.
"Protecting" teens from consensual sex and sex-related activities is utterly idiotic. It hasn't worked in the past, it isn't working now, and it will never work. Unless you monitor them 24/7, teens in the 14-18 age range will experiment with sex. There is no way to stop that, they're biologically wired that way.
The only thing locking them up for it will achieve is ruining their lives - something only the stupidest bible thumpers could want.
Want to protect teens? Educate them and tackle actual abuse. Protect them from predators, instead of trying to protect them from normal natural impulses.
