I mean he is the Beatles of rap in terms of how creative the productions are and all the trippy sounds that are placed into each song. It's almost meditating, and for the usual rap listener this guy is a huge breath of fresh air. But yeah he hasn't had time to make an impact on the music biz yet, and might not ever since I've read that this will be his first and last album
Also because he doesn't create a song in the same way the typical hiphop artist does, which is to lay vocals over a beat and then finalize it, he will produce the instrumental around his lyrics and make sure they fit together like a glove and this allows for a lot of breaks whereever he feels and it really just sounds more like a solid song unlike the typical "rhyme over this premade beat" stuff.
I know his lyrics are shit, which is why I ignored him for so long, but now I realize it doesn't matter how cheesy they are it's about the key words he's using and the feeling you get listening to the song as a whole.
