I agree, most of the banners sponsors offer suck...no creativity,they look like ads and don't really attempt to give the surfer a reason to click...if you just look at porn ads....alot of them say "click here for free trial" or say how many dvd's they offer or whatever...these days...even people my age(upper 30's) who are computer illiterate know that's not a selling point...
at this point I have given up on sponsors and started creating my own banners and my click through rates have risen dramatically
