Then I found a nice free tool called "MTS 2 XVid" , its very small, fast and easy, you just put all MTS files into its directory and it converts them into XVid with just one click. You can set all parameters (resolution, bitrate..). I resize them from Full HD resolution to 1280x720 and the files are deinterlaced automatically. Then I edit them easily in Adobe Premiere Elements.. Let me know if you cant find this proggy via Google.

Not every program deinterlaces automatically. And he will have issues if he encodes first into xvid then wants to go into another format.
Any NLE should be able to deinterlace without a third party program.
