Remember this business was built on theft. I was around and saw people lifting images from the BBS days. It's how many ammassed their great wealth early on. It was the wild, wild, west.
If anything, this latest move to tubes proves that every business is cyclical.
It's all coming back to where we were in 96.
The only difference is this time the people who are being hurt the most, have invested the most in their content and businesses.
This business is a perfect representation of what is happening in our own backyard right now in the US.
The "Haves" have 99% of everything
The "Have Nots" are all scrambling for their 1 point and all fighting over it.
There has always been this disparity within the industry. Go back to the early days and see who controlled all of the traffic. Now go and look to see if they are still around as well as who they are aligned with.
You'll see the same usual suspects are all in bed with one another.
Unfortunately, yelling about the skin is quite futile.
The skin was meant to infuriate those of you who hate them, and to educate those who don't know about their "sizzle" pitch. The people who will fall for the tube/ billion impressions are bigger idiots than those who invested in Iporn IMHO.
Again, I love Cyber-Age Dave, and agree with him on many levels- it's just not going to make a bit of difference yelling on this board about it while the people running it are off partying in Amsterdam.
The money was sent, check was cashed, ad went up.

This is still a business. people still got to make payroll.
I watched AVN take money from people who have promoted way worse.
