My partner and I build and maintain simple custom sites using Wordpress for quite a few mainstream clients. My base price is $1000 and includes hosting for a year, domain name, an hour or training and a few other extras. A number of them pay us a monthly maintenance fee.
If you have a nice source for finding new clients, you can do quite nicely with this model.
