but I agree with your original statement that it seems a little far-fetched that they will be so diligent and scrubbing out the waste from medicare that they will be able to fund this new program and somehow magically it will not have any waste.
I guess if they end up passing just some laws and reforms the cost of the new plan can be pretty small, but if they add in the public option which it sounds like they are hellbent on doing then the cost could go up pretty quickly.

I think you are right with the fee. Which is an indirect tax on the citizens. But if you add a tax or fee do more people will move to the public option because of cost. It is just a way to make everyone move to the public option which will be riddled with fraud and waste.
