Actually the hollywood movies have macro media/copy protection.
Since it's not illegal to download movies, but it is to share it...
Software has been treated different by the law, similar to crack copy protection on movies. Cracking that copy protection is NOT allowed.
Next to this, Hollywood studios use advanced 24/7 spiders, real time reports & automated DMCA's to search the entire web, p2p's, sites, tv-stations and boards to retrieve and report usage of movies to the rightful owners with software like I posted about the Philips technology in 2008 already. And they have more weight in lobbying with politicians.
