There was one guy on our campus that would be on that shit all day and all night... and he would sleep in the hallway... no shower, nothing -- he was pathetic
I noticed the guy during 2 all-nighters for some 3D raytracing project... I was scripting some animations in POV-ray... 3D modeling and animation with no WYSIWYG -- that was my idea of fun back then
Of course my classmates and professor under-rated my efforts, but outside of class my fucking instructor wanted to collaborate on a CDROM with me
