However, Mas OS X users are never use anti-malware software and basically (yes that's true) they are less educated in computer security things than "paranoid" Windows users. This is why Mac OS X is more vulnerable than Windows. I know nothingh about you, but I'm reading some specific news almost daily and know that Mac OS X users are absolutely unprotected against trojans (old shit like OSX.Trojan.iServices and new currently spreading ones).

P.S. I'm using both Windows XP and Mac OS X 10.5.8 (haven't upgraded it for 10.6 for some serious reasons) and I know what I'm talking about.
Cyberxxx, I have done IT for over 25 years. I was the Network Administrator for a Fortune 500 company, I designed and installed the WANS for National Parks, Police stations, and more companies than I could even remember at this point. I have a Degree in computer since, hold a CNE and an MCSE. I was the guy they called when the other engineers could not figure out an issue. So, I know just a little bit about computer security.

It's funny isn't it, that even though I have an MCSE, and supported Windows platform for over 10 years directly, that I own and use all MAC. Sure, I thought that the power pc platform sucked, but once they went to the intel chipset they became, bar none, the most stable, secure personal platform the average enduser has ever seen. One thing I will give you, I have not worked a lot with Vista. I avoided that pile of crap like the plague. NT (to me) was the best OS windows ever put out.

As to the question originally posted... as IT I always used Kapersky or AVS. Course we always had to run some server level stuff as well, In the companies I worked for we kept things pretty locked down. Trend Micro seemed to have a good product for home users at the time, now, I'm not so sure.

Rest assured, if I was doing it all again from scratch, the all the machines would be macs.
