I grew up in the South, too, so yes, I've had pickled pigs feet. Also squirrel brains. And after we moved to South Texas, I had tripas, which I love, especially if it's in menudo. And I used get tacos every morning at the gas station before work, and one time the guy at the counter told me I was the only gringo/gringa he'd ever seen who ordered the chicaronne tacos.
