It's the paysite owner. And without paysite owners, content providers are going down just like us.

Well, I guess I go ahead and add my physical address now.

Cheers.
Wrong again. Paysite owners can list the address of the primary producer. They do not have to list their own as THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THOSE RECORDS. They NEVER have been.

There are 2 other ways that MIGHT work with this issue. One of them requires a great deal of trust and the other only dilutes the concern. Since I am not concerned about this, I will not be spending any time or money to have any attorneys review these, but you may want to check with your own attorney and see about them.

1: Contract your site to a business associate who lives far away from you. Have them be responsible for the site and act as the secondary producer. They then have the option of listing their address as the 2257 custodian. What this means is that you basically sell your site to them but in the paperwork, you specify that you still maintain X percentage of the profits. You then give that person all of the requried documentation. At this point, you pretty much become the content provider instead of the actual owner of the site. If they fuck up, it is their ass, not yours.

This should work as long as the new "owner" is good about keeping their address as the secondary producer and custodian of records.

2: Add other content into your members area and flood your 2257 declaration page with shitloads of addresses from the primary producers. You simply slip your address into the mix with 20 others and it wil seriously dilute the issue. Here is an example of what I am talking about.

A lot of the amatuer sites have plug-ins and also "Friends" areas that could be used for this. If you list all of the "friends" addresss then who is to know which is yours?

Again, I want to stress that I am NOT an attorney and I have NOT run these ideas by any of my attorneys. I do know a great deal about this law and I personally think that both of these are valid options but PLEASE check with your own attorney before relying on them.

If they do work, you can thank me later.
