However, your idea that if we decrim that means more will do drugs is absurd. California has been decrim for over 30 years and the stats show that access to drugs does NOT increase the use their of. Thats like saying because alcohol is legal, everyone drinks, not the case. Legalization or decriminalization does not increase drug use.

In fact, Cali has seen DECREASE in teen marijuana use after medical marijuana laws have been passed.
I agree, though this will still end up saving the courts some money in the end. So much money and time is wasted processing people that have been busted for personal use... these people will at least not be clogging up the courts and draining resources. Not to mention their lives won't be ruined for getting busted doing a line or two or smoking a joint.
