Condom website wants testimonies
A condom maker has launched a website encouraging men to send in sex diaries.
It is part of a £1.5 million campaign by Mates which describes it as a "celebration of spontaneous sex.
Videos and stories will look at the different places people have sex.
The ishaggedhere.com website goes live tomorrow.
It includes a section called "shags reunited" where people can find previous partners or "tell the world about favourite encounters".
John Beyer, director of Mediawatch UK, said: "I think they should have had more regard to the rise in sexually transmitted diseases that is at crisis point, especially among the young. I'm not sure a site like this helps at all."
Remco Teulings, marketing and business development manager at Mates' parent company Ansell, said: "What we want to do is remove the stigma surrounding sexual protection and purchasing condoms.
"We wanted to communicate with young men in a language they would understand and while the campaign is designed to be fun there is a serious side."
He said all material appearing on its website would be checked in advance but admitted they had limited control over who visited it.
