If the cops couldn't get a knife out of an 80-some year old woman's hand without knocking her to the ground, then they need re-training.
As for that cop at the drive-thru, there are multiple dickheads at play here...
If the manager could've shown the cop the surveillance tape and the cop refused, then the cop's a dickhead.
If the manager just didn't want to show the cop the tape, then the manager's a dickhead.
Either way, she's a dickhead too for the way she acted. And the cop's a dickhead, too, for the way he reacted to her.
I ALWAYS give cops the benefit of the doubt. That said, being a cop is no excuse for being a dickhead.
Out here in Las Vegas, a cop was killed one night earlier this summer when he crashed into a guy who pulled out in front of him on Flamingo a few miles west of the strip. The guy walked away and was hauled in. The driver said the cop didn't have his lights on and was going way faster than he expected. The police chief issued a statement saying the driver was intoxicated, the cop had his lights on and wasn't driving unsafely.
Sure enough, two weeks later, investigations showed the driver WASN'T intoxicated, the cop DIDN'T have his lights and siren on, and he was going something like 110 mph down Flamingo. First time I've seen a police chief eat crow on camera.
