I grew a load on habanero peppers a couple of years ago, with the view to making some sauce, but the raccoons got to them. When I looked at where they had been planted -- every pepper had been destroyed with thousands of seeds strewn all over the place and the plants ripped to shreds. I could imagine the raccoon eating the first one (they were pretty ripe) and then getting hit by the burn and just going completely bat shit mental!!! It looked like a crime scene
