No new link has been found. The neurologists in question are being told to watch closely so that if there is an increase in cases of GBS that might be linked to the vaccine, action can be taken immediately. Even if it seems very unlikely based on current data, keeping an eye open is always a good idea. Also, keep in mind that the swine flu already killed more people in the US than would be likely to die from adverse side-effects if the entire population got the vaccination.

But regardless of this asinine article, there will probably be no reason to take the vaccine if you don't already have a weak immune system, and population-wide vaccinations are likely to be canceled in most countries. Not because the vaccine is turning out to have dangerous new side-effects, but because this particular strain of influenza appears to be turning out to be less serious than previously thought.
