Not meaning to be a dick btw, but he gave a genuine response and you found it laughable.
I GUARANTEE you, that if you opened up your books and showed potential sponsors that you ARE doing it for the good of the entire industry as opposed to making a profit, sponsorships would increase. Probably not to the level they were 4 or 5 years ago, but to a better level than they are today.

Thank you. Hopefully you made it a little easier to understand for Chris than my post, which he either played dumb on and pretended to not know what I was saying or conveniently side stepped.
Sponsors/Companies (most anyway) know that their ROI will suck with all these damn shows but they still go for the branding. AVN sells the napkin space, space on badges, menus, banners on the walls, everywhere you turn around "something" is being sponsored. So there obviously is a lot of value there since these companies are paying big bucks for thos spots. And everwhere you turn around you see AVN, which gets all of this exposure for free. They don't pay themselves for it, wait they actually make profit from the deal and get the free exposure.
Why can't they do the show just to give something back to the industry they make a lot of money off of and do the shows for no profit. They still get tons of VAULABLE exposure out of it.... but Chris said they don't do charity work. I bet the companies that buy all that sponsor ads from AVN love to know that you think the value of what they are buying = charity....
greed greed and more greed.
