Bush was director of CIA during the 1970s. He helped put Saddam in power, keep him in power AND arm him to the teeth. Bush owns huge stakes in a number of defense contractors, the most prominant being the Carlyle Group. When war breaks out, he profits big time. He is worth billions upon billions of dollars and don't expect to see his net worth printed in Forbes magazine - a rag run by his fellow republican crony.
