Hit 101 at my place yesterday evening. In town (Federal Way, 20 mins south of Seattle) it was 104. Tonight it's 78 right now but in Seattle it's still in the 90s in places.
First thing I did in 1997 when I bought my house was put in central air. When they mentioned the heat coming I went and snagged a couple of extra fans just in case the power went out. My home generator is set to bypass the a/c if the power goes out.
I grew up in Alabama, Georgia and Texas.. I'm just glad it's not humid here. I don't mind the heat as long as it doesn't feel like a steam sauna.
