now youre showing your age....thats very naive...50 cent or any so called musician of today (and i use that term very very loosely) cant hold a candle to the days of trashing hotel rooms, fucking groupies, doing blow for days....50 cent and all these "corporate" musicians would either die or cry to mommy if they tried to party like Keith Richards, Jim Morrison or any rock group from the time when it was about the music and not the look....
as for making money...maybe, why because they suck as real musicians and can only make money by flooding the market with bullshit gimmicks like ringtones, hats, necklaces, branded sweatshirts....even THEY can tell that they are a passing phase...50cent 10yrs from now will be forgotten....funny the Rolling Stones (as just one example)...have gone decades...
