i have an attic but the access is by the bathroom in the back of my place, no where near they are coming from. The attic is insulated and covered with plywood, so I don't know how they would be able to get through.

my guess is they are in the fireplace, but im a bit worried about trying to light a fire and they come out into the house rather than out the chimney
