While I am not in agreement with the design of the patriot act, I think the intentions where meant well. But by comparing this bill with Nazi Germany standards is a gross over statement. Hitler was a dictator he didn't need no fancy bill to slaughter jews and enforce law.
You obviously don't know how Nazi Germany did their thing.

They didn't come into Poland and say "Hey, all you jews, there's the ovens jump on in"..

First jews were just not allowed in some places.
Then they were only allowed to keep so much cash.
Then they had to wear armbands.
Then they had to live in the (walled) ghetto.
Then they started getting executed for sport.
Then they started getting shipped off to death camps.

It's never all in one step. Freedom dissapears gradually, with very few noticing it is doing so, until one day, it is ALL gone.

I agree it is somewhat unfair to compare it to Hitler, but it is very much in the same vein. There are certain "undesirables" that don't have the rights of the "good" (aryan) citizens - and thus they don't get any, we get to treat them however we like. Plus with the handy little amendment to the Freedom of Information Act, NO ONE CAN CHECK TO SEE IF IT'S BEING ABUSED!

There's no way anyone should be supporting this legislation. This is the kind of shit WW2 vets died to prevent happening.
