Some Twitter tips
A few tips for those of you who want to start using Twitter to make money.
#1: Try to let an account "mature" for a bit before you start following large groups of people. A few weeks of 2-3 updates a day, and it looks like a "real" account.
#2: When following people to make them follow you back, first make a few tweets about a specific subject, then add a large group of people who are interested in that subject. It will boost follow-back rates greatly.
#3: The higher your followers/following ratio is, the less you look like a spammer. If you follow a few hundred people, wait for a week, stop following those who aren't following you, wait for another week, follow another few hundred people, etc., you're unlikely to get flagged and will reach a few thousand followers pretty quickly.
#4: Don't do spammy stuff until you have at least a few thousand followers. It's far more important to build a worthwhile list than it is to reach a few dozen people with an add.
#5: Responding to people with large groups of followers is a great way to get them to follow and mention you.
#6: Don't overdo it with Tweets. Too many of them, and people will stop following you.
