You are in a way hinting its something to be said to the outside only. I am just quoting a very recent interview where sharon is repeating some of the things he said several times before - only difference is, that now its more "concentrated" and - more importantly so, translated to english

My hint in that direction was because of more reasons. Sharon
is about to go the US to discuss the roadmap for peace in the
middle east.
That roadmap made by the US, EU, Russia and the United
Nations contains a palestinian state in 2003 and in 2005
it should be completed by a complete palestinian state
complete with defenitive borders.
Sharon will never give up the settlements which are fundemental
for the Isrealian state. Again I hope it will be different and that
I'm wrong.....but this just smells too much like a publicity stunt
that looks nice in the current events.
Peace cannot be accomplished without any terrorist attacks both
parties know that. There are too many people that don't accept
any of the consessions and nobody can control these groups.
