No, what you have learned today is to never, ever give anyone access to your server unless it's absolutely necessary. If someone that's not programming for you wants access, screw them.
Give people access to your stats, and let them pay (half) afterwards, and they can be sure you won't screw them. They might screw you though, but not as badly as they can when you give them such access.
Besides that, expose the fucker if he doesn't agree to pay you for damages.
