Because some people are far enough dead that when brought back, they have severe brain damage and live the rest of those "decades of life" as a vegetable pissing and shitting themselves..
Some just when dead, want to be left dead... They died for a reason.
I don't mind resuscitation, to an extent, if I'm severely fucked up and they know I'll be a vegetable, I don't want it... but if I like somehow drown, yeah fucking bring my ass back.
