I've lived in Coral Gables, South Beach, Kendall and Hialeah. I like Coral Gables and SoBe the best, but you aren't necessarily going to get "cheap" housing there. If I moved back to Miami right now, I'd probably choose some areas of the Design District or some of the high-rises closer to downtown.

And as Forest said, Hollywood is nice also. It's just always seemed a little far away from the stuff I like to do.
