there is a legislative process for creating laws. the process is followed, a new law is created. there is a legislative process for rescinding laws.
you can't make the argument about a law being unfair or restricting rights or freedoms,... because that is the essence of practically all law.

In a democratic country, not following the wish of majority, and especially the wish of your own voters, is in my opinion abuse of power. You are selected to represent the people... The same can be said about the wish of minority if the law is unconstitutional, like established human rights. The process, i.e. practice in courts or later political change, does not change the fact that abuse itself eventually happened.
