There is nothing wrong with promoting beliefs - this is called freedom of expression. Within a context it may appear to run against the grain tho!
The term "reflects our values" - whose values are ya speaking of?
This expression has been repeated parrot fashion in rhetoric by Bush and means little. The "values" of the US, at least those promoted by the current US Admin, are extremely low and mainly irrelevant to the rest of the world. Morality is not a word that blends well with Washington.
What may be the values of some, are not the values of the vast numbers of people on this planet. Many have cultures and traditions centuries back - before anyone ever heard of the upstart delinquent idiot kid on the block - the United States.
