People ALWAYS blame the current guy in charge for hard times. So therfore if the economy isn't better in 3 1/2 years Obama won't be re-elected. Obama isn't retarded I seriously doubt he would do something to stagnate the economy and hurt his chanes at re-election. Now if it was his 2nd term and he could do what he wanted and the consequences didn't matter that be a different issue. But it's 2009 not 2015.
