What a methodology to completely destroy a country's government infrastructure so there is minimal political fallout for the US.

1. Decimate their armed forces.

2. Make sure all local police and law enforcement agencies aren't functioning for a week or two. (i.e. shut down the power grid and telecom capabilities)

3. The people will then do the whole job for you. Just sit back and let them loot, burn, and destroy it all and go into total anarchy before you decide to start and restore law and order.
