The Thai police are trying like crazy to cover this up. They won't even release the closed TV footage to the FBI so they can review it! Why do you think that is? Because they know what's on it.
The guy that hired who is ex-FBI did his own investigation and based on the evidence that he found, that the Thai police wouldn't release or didn't find, came to this conclusion.
If I had to bet money on the Thai police, who recently ruled a suicide on a man with no head, and is known for covering up murders in addition to having piss poor investigative skills, or someone who used to work for the FBI, I'm betting on the FBI.
And lets not forget, the US autopsy revealed he did not kill himself. There were also feet prints found on his bead that the Thai police did not report.
