Pilot dies midflight, FAA says

(CNN) ? A captain on a Continental flight died Thursday midflight while flying from Brussels, Belgium, to Newark, New Jersey, a Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman said.

Arlene Salac said Continental Flight 61 would receive priority when it arrives at Newark International Airport around noon.

Two first officers are now in command of the Boeing 777, the FAA said.

Further details were not immediately available.
