36 tomatoe plants????

I've deadheaded my cherry tomatoes - they were going nuts and going over 8 feet tall. For the other varieties, I take great care of them... remove all sprouting new stems between the main stem and leaf until there are 2 to 3 "bouquets" of tomatoes. Then deadhead that stem and let 2 or 3 other stems develop. Lather, rinse repeat.
If you don't remove developing stems, the plants puts too much energy into growing and not enough into fruiting.
