What kind of dog is it again?
I had a mutt when I was growing up that used to "hug" you whenever you were upset. He would also go wait at the bottom of the stairs when the 11pm news started and if my parents didn't get up in a few minutes he would bark like Cmon! My mom would tell him to go to bed and he would go upstairs and curl up on his blanket but not until my mom told him to go.
