No... Obama isn't playing to the left on Health Care... they want single payer Health Care... he doesn't. There is a very basic reason for it... in order to provide single payer he would have to eliminate a whole industry (Private Health Insurance)... and he isn't going to do that.
Rachel Maddow is a hardcore liberal. Saying that Obama is far left is purely a talking point invented by the right. He is actually pretty moderate on alot of issues.
