It takes time to train a dog. Most people don't have a clue about that they think training is complete in a day.

I train my rotts myself. My now oldest Rott had a habit of pulling on peoples sleeves when they walked through the door. Terrible habit that took a while to break.

The bottom line is when they are young and "in training" they will still do things that are not appropriate. That may include jumping on people when they walk in etc. When they do that negative action that is the opportunity to teach them not to.

I have a 7 week old Rott now I am working with. My friends and neighbors can expect some jumping etc. when they come over in the future until I get him straight. If they don't like it they don't have to come over.
