I think they just see "you can make $$$" and email me without reading the rest of the site.

I've had models here and there contact me and say they'll shoot with me if I pay them up front. I say "Ahh, so you can take the cash and walk away? No, I don't play that game. That's now how business is done. If you go to work, you get paid AFTER the work is completed. Not before." and I hang up the phone. I really wonder if any photographer has ever fallen for that.
