Ya, I do wonder what happenned to the first Viking settlements - wiped out by natives?
I think it's fairly well known that the "natives" came to N.A. over the landbridge.. But the interesting thing for you native-lovers:
North America had horses before the Europeans arrived. The "at one with nature" Native Americans hunted them to extinction, without ever trying to domesticate and ride them.
They were well on their way to doing the same with the buffalo when the settlers arrived. Don't believe me, look at Buffalo Jump.
There's massive hypocrisy on both sides, and the natives are hardly innocent.
