You do realize PR is important for more than just passing it, right? Ideally from an SEO standpoint, you don't just want 1 entry in page 1 of Google - you'd want THEM ALL if you could get them, and especially at least for your company name. That's why people make such a big deal about sites like Squidoo and Hubpages for SEO - and more about them ranking high in SE's than simply getting another inbound link to your site.
All SEO efforts are for one thing: to get organic traffic, and a Twitter account will do that from quality followers and from being in search and people going to your site after going to the Twitter account page. So it's not worthless at all to consider the PR of the Twitter account page - just worthless to consider whatever link juice you may be passing.
