If 2 election routs were an indicator, then by your logic, the American public is confused. They go from conservative, to liberal, to conservative, to liberal. Unfortunately this is not the case. Most people knew jack shit about Obama, except that he wasn't Bush. Most people knew jack shit about McCain except that he was LIKE Bush. This was the main reason Obama won. Now I'm hoping Obama will fix the economy because he's a smart and charismatic guy, but don't kid yourself into thinking there's a correlation between the left and the right, and the current president.
And as for social issues? Most of the country still opposes gay marriage. Most of the country supports the 2nd amendment. Most of the country still supports capital punishment. So where is this "left" I keep hearing about?
