Youre aware people like Billie Joel tours with a rack of macs running serious audio software and has been for like 20+ years?
Billie Joel has had one of the most compuerized, synthesized touring rigs Ive ever seen.
If you cant even imagine how he does it, you really havnt looked behind the curtain, nor do you live behind it.
I was reading about Billie Joels set up more than 10+ years ago in Electronic Musician mags and its been sick since then.
People didnt even know some of his pianos were in fact, not real ones and he had synthesizer modules placed inside of them. Looked like real piano, sounded like a perfectly tuned one, but its not. Why? Because after touring so long, lugigng around pianos sucks when compared to light weight synth modeuls that sound exactly right every note...
Seriously, im not trying to argue, but considering the advancaes in technology, the imagination no longer limits us, nor does our vocal capacity, audio software is the only limit.
and its not just for recording, we are talking about live performances.
Billy Joel has more computers running on stage than musicians on stage with hims lol I have friends whove been building road cases for touring bands for decades, and they started outfitting roadies with macintosh holding rack mounts many moons ago.
