Problem is even if people with lower sales read this, it tells them nothing about how to increase sales.

You have a couple points that almost hit, but alot of the points are wrong in my opinion. But what do I know we have record sales every month.

I will give you kudos though for at least trying to figure it out rather than posting stupid shit.
I can tell us how to stop the rot. It won't turn it back to what it was but it will stop sales falling (cue for those to tell us they are doing record sales. )

Start to treat the customer as number 1.

Stop thinking of him as an "impulse" once off buyer. He's not, he buys month after month and we should treat him like that. If we don't we will end up with once off buyers who only by on impulse. An impulse they will resist more.

Spend more money on the product he gets. It's very simple, we spend too much on surfers who don't spend than on surfers who do spend. Build members areas, give sites more breadth, still within the same niche but a different twist. Keep adding different content, too many sites have 50 scenes with little to choose between them. You've seen 10 and you've seen them all. Changing the girl and the sofa does not change the scene. Give the people producing the content the budgets that allow them to produce great content.

Give members live performances, it's not that expensive and it does add to retention and improve retention.

More flexible join periods. 10, 20, 30 days of his choosing, not a space of time. Not sure if it can be done today, but it can be done if we decide to. A guy who wants to log in 3 times a month is spending $10 a time. Not good value. Yes we would of lost a few joins who would of joined and paid $10 a time. Today he's on a Tube site. We lost everything.

We have to realise the customer is choosing not to spend $30 a month to get a 30 day supply of porn because the Tubes meet his needs better. Until we meet his needs better we can do nothing but dream the customers will come back. I will tell you they will never come back unless we meet their needs.

There are many sites who do all this and still suffering. But are they suffering as badly?

We need to realise the "Gold Rush" days are over and never coming back. It's now a steady slog to earn a good living. Which it always was for most of us.

Great post.

it gets people thinking instead of just blindly replicating models that don't work anymore. Which is good. We're all partly responsible for the downward spiral.
We need to do more about stopping it than posting on GFY. I have done a few things and when I'm back and working will do more.
