It's like that where I am. They don't ban it per se, like with a law, but if Wal-Mart came to this area and asked planning & zoning if they could build one, they'd be told to fuck off (and have been repeatedly). They're putting in a Sam's Club about 20 miles away, and twice people came into my store to try to sell me memberships, and I told both of them that I don't shop at shitholes like that. One tried to tell me, "Oh, didn't you know that Sam's Club is owned by Wal-Mart"? Dumb bitch. I told 'em both to take their pushy, shit-eating minimum wage asses out of my store and not to come back.
