Cybele, the Phrygian fertility goddess had a consort, Attis, who was believed to have died and been resurrected each year (at... wow easter time). Born of a virgin, he died and was ressurrected anually. The story of Attis was simply grafted onto Jesus's life in order to make "Christianity" more palatable and gain pagan converts.

All religious holidays are stolen from pagan and pre pagan beliefs. What many don't realize, a lot of what is in the bible, specifically the old testament, are just newer translations of what came before. Same shit, just the face and people behind it changed or restructured to fit with the current civilization and political climate.
