If you think a am full of shit? There are at least 5 to 10 companies I know doing 10 to 100 million a year in our really small Netherlands or Belgium alone who only use 0900/sms/direct debits/prepaid cards with adult website and/or mobile sites.
Last year in Amsterdam I met a guy doing 2M monthly with livesex chats over phones/pda/iphones and he was from the UK, where I never even heard of that technology before I met him and he gave me a demo of the system.
If you target Europe; go for UK, Germany, Austria, Switserland, Holland, belgium, France, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Normay, Finland, Luxemburg, Spain, Italy, etc. etc.
