Easter isn't even a Christian holiday sorry to inform you. The christians stole it from the pagans it was around centuries before christ was even born.
Cybele, the Phrygian fertility goddess had a consort, Attis, who was believed to have died and been resurrected each year (at... wow easter time). Born of a virgin, he died and was ressurrected anually. The story of Attis was simply grafted onto Jesus's life in order to make "Christianity" more palatable and gain pagan converts.
