Genes have nothing, I mean NOTHING to do with it. Unless of course you are referring to hereditary diseases or mental retardation or some forms of mental instability of which not all or even most are genetically linked. That is GENETICALLY link. Physiologically, many things can happen to alter a persons mental state over the course of their life, most significantly the environment in which they were raised or live.
An unstable homicidal mother doesn't mean the kid is fucked up too nor deserved to die.
