A couple weeks ago I saw the movie "Role Models." In it I learned that the reason Starbucks calls their largest coffee size a venti is because venti is Italian for 20, and they are 20 oz drinks. It all makes sense now, and I love learning trivia like that.

I guess I was talking to my assistant about it and she wondered if Starbucks had trained all their employees of this fact. I made a mental note to ask the next time I went to one.

When TPF was over goodgirl and I went over to the Starbucks next to the hotel to pick up a couple venti mochas for the drive to Vegas. Since Tempe is a college town, and the barrista appeared to be a coed, I figured she would be the perfect candidate . . . she had to know. Right?

Me: Do you know why the venti is called a venti:
Her: I am not sure, I just know it is a Greek word.
Me: Greek?
Her: Yes.
goodgirl: Well, it is Greek to her.
